The Manhatten

Like a few days ago wen I went to watch The Da Vinci code, I went to have dinner at The Manhatten. It's supposedly the "fake" version of "Fish & co" whereby it's the same kinda stuff u can get at fish & co, but you pay lesser here. I ordered this platter for one special, which on the menu, was described as spicy prawns...

I was like.....huh? Spicy prawns sounds so un-Manhatten and more Crystal Jade, but I ordered it anyway. I completed the set with Ice Lemon Tea and the soup of the day. Sometimes I wonder if they EVER change the soup of the day....well maybe, like in a month or so.

Yup and here they are! The cup of ice lemon tea was humongous....as in a totally unexpected size of a cup of drink, the soup was um...ok la, quite delicious, got alot of liao inside as you can see, and my main course consisted of the prawns, 2 slices of fish, fries, and rice that had an amazing fragrance of spices added to it. What the waiter did when he brought my food to the table, was to take out a bloody huge lighter, those kind u see the workers use at construction sites, and he started burning my prawns on the spot! I was like Ffffuuffcccffkkk..... And then he served me my dish. Lol, actually what happened was, he was burning the mayo on top of the prawns to make it look like hardened cream...I dunno how to say la, but it's absolutely perfect! aiya pls lo, when u go to those cheena restaurants, u know those prawns with mayo thingy? it's exactly the same here, just that you pay much lesser, and you get to have the head and tail on your platter as well. But strangely, there's only ONE place in Singapore that has The Manhatten, and that's in Plaza Sing. Btw, alot of shops there undergoing the GSS (Great Singapore Sale) phase as well, so you can shop and eat there!

The New Cathay

The new cathay at dhoby ghaut was really an eye opener! Maybe it's because it's new or smth, but it has a nice outlook to it.

Here you have it. It doesn't look that awe-aspiring in the pictures, but nonetheless, it still looks better than the old one =D I dunno how to describe it, you just have to go there and see for yourself!

An Avatar Day

Well, I had an amazing time getting the whispers of the avatars! And the party who made it this far...

This was before we entered Shiva's "house" to kill her lol. And when we did, on ice day

She's glowing orange cuz someone cast Fire on her la! In fact, she's some bluish being. And in the end, we won! <== no big deal, we won the rest too, but we broke the record!
